Ruckmans Farm - Ockley Ruckmans is based at Dawes Farm, an estate of 550 acres covering the Surrey and West Sussex border just outside of Ockley. We have a well established herd of Pedigree Herefords and a Scotch Mule based flock. The Ruckmans herd was established 19 years ago, and has been under the management of Harry Hewlett for the last 17 years. Our livestock are traditionally reared to the highest standards and are fed additive free, home grown natural feed. We pride ourselves on giving all our animals a stress free environment and raising the animals to RSPCA welfare standards, as we are RSPCA Freedom Food accredited. As well as providing beef to the Waitrose Hereford Beef Scheme for many years, in the last 2 years we have been emphasising on building our local client base through local marketing, farmers markets and working closely with Sussex Farm Foods Ltd. All our beef and lamb is home produced. Our beef is hung for a minimum of 3 weeks and lamb for a minimum of 1 week to ensure good quality and taste, tenderness and beautiful flavouring. >>more pictures
